Draft, pending attorney review

Terms

Last updated October 31, 2026. Questions: tim@crewboot.com

Agreement

These draft terms are the rules for using Crewboot. They are pending attorney review and may change before the service leaves early access. By creating an account or requesting early access, you agree to this draft until a reviewed version replaces it. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Questions go to tim@crewboot.com.

The service

Crewboot helps a trade business write estimates from its price book, turn an approved estimate into a job, schedule work, create invoices, and send a customer a link to approve or decline an estimate. The current release is an early-access founding beta. Features can be added, removed, or interrupted. A beta record is not a promise that the same workflow will stay unchanged.

Accounts

You are responsible for the activity under your login and for keeping the password private. Tell us at tim@crewboot.com if you believe someone else is using your account. You must provide a working email address. We may refuse or close an account that breaks these terms.

Your content

You keep the business records you enter. You grant Crewboot permission to host and display those records so the product can work, including showing an estimate to a customer you send a link to. You are responsible for having the right to store your customers' information and for what your estimates, invoices, and messages say.

Acceptable use

  • Do not break the law, or help someone else break it, with the service.
  • Do not attempt to access another company's records or another person's account.
  • Do not probe, scan, or overload the service except through a test we have agreed to.
  • Do not upload malware or use the early-access form to send junk.
  • Do not misrepresent an estimate or invoice as something the product calculated when you edited it.

Customer links

A share link is a way for your customer to view one estimate and approve or decline it. You choose when to create or revoke a link. Anyone who has the link can open that estimate, so send it only to the person who should see it.

Early access

Requesting early access does not guarantee an account, a launch date, or a particular feature. We may contact you at the email you provided about the beta. You can ask us to delete that request by emailing tim@crewboot.com.

Intellectual property

Crewboot, the product name, and the software stay with their owner. These terms do not sell you the software. They let you use the hosted service while your account is open. Your price book and job records stay yours.

Disclaimers

During early access the service is provided as available. Estimates, schedules, and invoices are tools for your business. You review them before you send them to a customer. Crewboot does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or trade-license advice, and it does not guarantee that a price, tax amount, or job total is correct for your work.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Crewboot is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages arising from the beta, and any direct damages are limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the claim. If you have not paid, that limit is zero. Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, the limit is the smallest the law allows. This paragraph is a draft and needs attorney review.

Ending use

You may stop using Crewboot at any time and ask us to delete the account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, creates a security risk, or is unused during the beta. Sections that should survive, including your responsibility for your content and the liability limit, still apply after the account closes.

Governing law

This draft assumes the laws of the State of Tennessee, excluding conflict-of-law rules. That choice is not final until an attorney reviews it. Courts in Tennessee would be the intended venue under this draft.

Changes

We will update this page when the terms change and change the date at the top. If a change is material, we will also email the address on the account when we have one. Continuing to use the service after the update means you accept the new terms.
